Alex Honey is Sterling Interior Designs Creative Director. Alex’s natural affinity for colour, fabrics and functional living spaces was evident even as a small child. While other girls were playing with Barbie dolls, Alex was re-organising the kitchen storage, changing her bedroom layout and dreaming up new window dressings from her mother's fabric collections.
Alex completed her formal interior design studies in 2005 to create a solid technical foundation to industry experience and natural flair and skill with interior design. She started Sterling Interior Design to provide the stylish interior design sort after by discerning owners of Brisbane residential properties. She is now seen as a leading Brisbane interior designer and interior decorator.
Alex's forte is colour and she believes colour is the foundation of all memorable style. Colours can be combined, layered and injected with pattern, texture and subtle effects to create distinctive interior designs.
Alex is a trained colour consultant and works with clients to select the optimal colours for the entire property.
The main feedback clients give to Alex is their appreciation of how thoroughly she listens to their needs. They value her practical advice and flair with innovative interior design ideas, delivered without any “artistic temperament” or trace of “designer dramas”.
