Alex Honey is Sterling Interior Designs Creative Director. Alex’s natural affinity for colour, fabrics and functional living spaces was evident even as a small child. While other girls were playing with Barbie dolls, Alex was re-organising the kitchen storage, changing her bedroom layout and helping make window dressings from her mother's fabric collections.

 

Alex completed her formal interior design studies in 2005 to create a solid technical foundation to the industry experience and skills she had gained from over ten years experience within the interior design field.

 

She started Sterling Interior Design to provide the stylish interior design sort after by discerning owners of Brisbane residential properties. She is now seen as a leading Brisbane interior designer and interior decorator.

 

Alex's forte is creating practical, liveable interior environments that have lasting style and timeless appeal.

 

Colour and using it with natural flair is second nature to Alex and she believes all colours can be combined, layered and injected with pattern, texture and subtle effects to create distinctive interior designs.

 

Alex is a trained colour consultant and works with clients to select the optimal colours for the entire property.

 

The main feedback clients give to Alex is their appreciation of how thoroughly she listens to their needs. They value her practical advice and flair with innovative interior design solutions, delivered with a down to earth approach and a distinct absence of “designer dramas”.
